  • Q: Are your vehicles inspected before being listed?
    • A: Yes. Every vehicle that hits our lot undergoes a safety and mechanical inspection. We address major concerns before a car is ever listed for sale.
  • Q: Do you offer warranties?
    • A: Many of our vehicles are eligible for extended service contracts or powertrain warranties. Ask us about the specific options available for the vehicle you are interested in.
 Buying & Financing

Q: Do you offer financing for all credit types?
A: Yes! At Auto District Indy, we work with a variety of lenders to provide financing options for all credit situations—whether you have excellent credit, are rebuilding, or are a first-time buyer. You can get the process started by filling out our secure credit application here.
Q: Can I get pre-approved before I visit the lot?
A: Absolutely. We encourage customers to get pre-approved online. It saves you time at the dealership and gives you a clear idea of your budget before you fall in love with a specific vehicle.
Q: What documents do I need to bring to complete my purchase?
A: Generally, you will need a valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance, and your preferred method of payment. If you are financing through one of our lenders, you may also need recent pay stubs and proof of residence.

 Trade-Ins & Selling
Q: Do you accept trade-ins?
A: Yes, we welcome trade-ins! We aim to give you a fair market value for your current vehicle, which can be applied directly toward your down payment. You can even start the valuation process online or bring it in for a physical appraisal.
Q: Will you buy my car even if I don’t buy one from you?
A: Yes. We are always looking to add quality vehicles to our inventory. If you’re looking to sell your car outright, bring it in for an inspection and a cash offer.

 Vehicle Quality & Transparency
Q: Do your vehicles come with a history report?
A: Transparency is our priority. Most of our vehicles come with a Carfax or AutoCheck report so you can see the service history, accident reports, and ownership records before you buy.
Q: Can I have a vehicle inspected by my own mechanic?
A: We want you to be 100% confident in your purchase. We welcome pre-purchase inspections at a local mechanic of your choice (within a reasonable distance of our 10th St. location).

 Service & Out-of-State
Q: I live outside of Indianapolis. Do you offer shipping or airport pickup?
A: We serve customers from all over the country! While we don't provide in-house shipping, we can recommend reliable third-party transporters. For those flying in to pick up their new car, we are happy to arrange a pickup from Indianapolis International Airport (IND).
Q: Do I need an appointment for a test drive?
A: While walk-ins are always welcome, we recommend scheduling a test drive in advance to ensure the vehicle is pulled up and ready for you when you arrive.

  • Q: Can I do the entire deal online?
    • A: Almost! You can pick your car, get your trade-in value, and submit your credit application through our site. You only need to visit the lot to sign the final paperwork and take delivery!
  • Q: Do you take digital payments (Apple Pay, Zelle, Wire Transfer)?
    • A: We accept certified checks, wire transfers, and most major financing. Contact our office for specific instructions on digital payment methods to ensure a smooth pickup.
  • Q: Can you send me a video of a specific car?
    • A: Absolutely. If you’re eyeing a vehicle and want to see a "walk-around" or hear the engine run, just text us or send a request. We’ll film it and send it straight to your phone.

Post-Sale Support
  • Q: I just bought a car; when will I get my plates and title?
    • A: We process titles quickly! You will receive your paperwork or title via mail within the standard Indiana BMV timeframe (usually 21 business days).
  • Q: What if I have a question about my car after I take it home?
    • A: We’re here for the long haul. If you have questions about your vehicle's features or need a recommendation for a local service shop, just give us a call!

  • Q: I don't see the specific car I want in your inventory. Can you find it for me?
    • A: Yes! Through our Vehicle Finder service, we can check dealer-only auctions across the country to find the exact make, model, and color you’re looking for. Tell us your wishlist, and we’ll go to work.

Q: Is your vehicle pricing negotiable?
A: At Auto District Indy, we use advanced market-pricing software to monitor thousands of similar vehicles daily. This ensures that our "Transparent Price" is already competitive and fair based on the current market, the vehicle’s condition, and its history. While we strive to offer our best price upfront to save you the hassle of back-and-forth haggling, we are always happy to walk you through the data that supports our valuation. 
Q: Why should I pay your asking price versus a private seller?
A: When you buy from us, you aren't just buying a car; you’re buying peace of mind. Every vehicle in our inventory undergoes a rigorous safety and mechanical inspection, is professionally detailed, and comes with a clear title. Plus, we handle all the complex BMV paperwork, tax filings, and plate transfers for you—services a private seller simply can't provide. 
Q: Do you have any hidden fees?
A: No. "Transparent Deals" means no surprises. Outside of the vehicle price, the only additional costs are Indiana state sales tax (for residents) and our standard documentation and title fees. We do not charge "prep fees," "reconditioning fees," or any other hidden add-ons that some larger dealerships use to pad their profits. 
Q: Can I get a better price if I pay in cash?
A: We appreciate all forms of payment, whether it’s cash, a cashier's check, or outside financing. However, our prices are based on the market value of the vehicle itself, so the price remains the same regardless of your chosen payment method. Our goal is to provide every customer with the same fair, high-value deal.
 The Southern Advantage
Q: Why do you emphasize that your vehicles are "Southern Cars"?
A: In Indiana, road salt and brine are the "silent killers" of vehicles, eating away at frames and brake lines every winter. We specifically source our inventory from southern states where the climate is milder, and salt is rarely used. This means when you buy from Auto District Indy, you’re getting a vehicle with a clean, rust-free undercarriage that will last much longer than a typical local car.
Q: Are "Rust-Free" cars more expensive?
A: While a rust-free southern vehicle might have a slightly higher upfront cost than a rusted local one, it saves you thousands in the long run. Rust-free vehicles have higher resale value, are much easier (and cheaper) to service, and don't suffer from the structural "rot" that often sends northern cars to the scrapyard early. We believe the quality is worth every penny.
